Readings: Luke 1:46b-55, Micah 4:1-5, Ephesians 2:11-22

He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts.

He has brought down the powerful from their thrones, and lifted up the lowly;

he has filled the hungry with good things, and sent the rich away empty.

He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy. Luke 1:52-54

    That the world’s power doesn’t count more than God’s justice (not visible, but more valuable) is such a big part of Mary’s Song. Thank you, Colin. Peace, Johnna

    Thank you, Colin–a stirring artistic rendering of cognitive dissonance. I think many struggle with the miracle of Mary’s impregnation,too–makes no sense to the mind’s eye or to this world where we treasure those things that are more than weightless, emptier than empty. Powerful image!
