Place

I grew up moving every eighteen months or so. My husband lived in one house until he went to college, and one state until he began graduate school. My father travelled all over the world on a submarine – even to the Arctic circle. My mother packed and unpacked houses full of stuff while my Mother-in-law has created and maintained the same home for over fifty years. One or many, staying or going, physical place is woven into the way we see and understand the world.

Place isn’t always a particular location; sometimes it’s a settling of the soul, or a stance in the world. This place, too, changes how we see and understand the world.

Place, replace, misplace – come explore, meditate, pray, and add your own thoughts…
